Sharing information for a cat’s better life.

About Us

CatDori.com is a platform for sharing and advancing information about cats. While the name, cat, describes felines great and small, and wild and tame, our web site focuses on the domestic cat, Felis catus.

We welcome and publish information regarding all aspects of cats—their health, wellness, characteristics, behavior, habits, history, and even antics, real or anthropomorphized. We rely on you, the user, to contribute information about cats. We welcome all information as long as it furthers our mission of helping cats enjoy healthy and happy lives.

Please donate your knowledge. Start, edit, or add to a CatWiki article. Help other cat parents locate the best veterinarian by rating your experience with your cat’s doctor. Submit a hospital or veterinarian listing if you don’t see it on our site.

We are a beta site so if you have any feedback for us that can help us improve our platform, please let us know by contacting us.

We are also a work-in-progress. For example, our list of hospitals and veterinarians is growing but not yet complete. We feature about forty percent of the hospitals and veterinarians in the eastern and western states and some northern middle states. We expect to add the rest of the states and Canada this year. Please check back to track our growth. In the meantime, we invite you to submit or add to an existing hospital or veterinarian listing.

Our Credo

We believe that when we bring a cat into our lives, we have made a covenant to cherish, nurture, and care for that cat in both times of joy and sorrow and in sickness and health. It is our mission to help you honor that covenant by sharing information for a cat’s better life.

Please help to eliminate homelessness and alleviate suffering from abandonment by adopting from a shelter. You will be saving a precious life. Please do not breed or support breeding by purchasing a cat—at least not until there are no more homeless cats.

And, please spay or neuter your cat.

What’s in a Name?

What does Dori mean? Click here to tell us what you think. Once we graduate from our beta status, we will be running a contest to determine the winner who guessed correctly.

This web site is dedicated in loving memory to Tiger, Obie (Ol’ Blue Eyes), Peekay, Patch, and Whiskey. Peekay started everything so that all can follow.
